Job Responsibilities:Functional Responsibility: This position is accountable for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing customer equipment. Instruct our customers and sales personnel on the operation and maintenance of equipment. Install services and repairs customer equipment. Performs warranty work and start-up service. Perform testing, calibration, checking, correcting, adjusting and part component replacement services on customer products. Constructs and tests circuits and equipment utilizing various tools and machines such as computers, workstations, circuit diagrams and test instruments/equipment. Instruct our customers and sales personnel on the operation and customer maintenance of equipment. Provide technical support in product service, product training and applications. Analyzes complex problems in equipment and machinery and interprets maintenance manuals, using knowledge of systems and electronics to isolate and correct the fault. Consult with product support and engineering personnel to determine solutions to complex problems in system operation. Reports customer suggestions on product improvement and existing product designs to the appropriate technical specialist. Assist in the developing design modifications. Implements modifications and provides installation support for the modifications. Develops and implements training courseware and provides training to customers and other service representatives. Develops and maintains ongoing customer relationships with regards to all aspects of equipment repair and maintenance. Maintain service equipment, tools and documentation. Experience Requirement: 5 years minimumEducation Requirement: 2 year College or Equivalent related experienceOther Requirements: Must be able to use the following test equipment: Hipot, SFRA, Power Factor Test Set, Transformer Turns Ratio set, D.C. Megger, DLRO, Winding Resistance Set, CT Test Set, Time Travel Analysis Set, Multi-metersMust be able to perform safe acceptance, maintenance and commissioning activities on electrical power systems (transformers, breakers, cables all operating between 480V and 745kV ratings, etc.) to determine that they are safe and operating as designed. Have solid understanding of electrical theories, methods, procedures, electrical safe work practices, electrical test equipment, and ability to read and understand one-line, three-line and control schematics. Be able to maintain and operate an Oil dehydration unit and a fullers earth system. Must be able to perform repair, dress out of oil / gas filled equipment of all voltage classes. Must have understanding of oil analysis and be able to prepare recommendations for end users. Have good troubleshooting skills and an overall understanding of power system fundamentals. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.Travel will be required at times.
