Details: Resource Power Group (RPG) a division of Louisiana Cat has the backing of one of the leading Caterpillar engine dealers in the world.  RPG a certified dealer of MaK engines for the southeast United States and Caribbean Islands.  We are always searching for high energy, ambitious candidates who are ready to join our team.  You can build your future here!As a MaK dealer we cover service, parts, specialized engineering, project management, and packaging for diesel and natural gas engines used in marine, petroleum, industrial and electric power applications.We are currently accepting resumes for:Turbo TechnicianResponsibilities:Responsible for assisting with the commissioning of large bore engines and systemsAssist with the performance of  engine overhauls Assist with the analysis of entire power plant condition Perform maintenance, overhauls, and repairs to turbochargers of major manufacturers such as, Napier, MAN, ABB, KBB, etc.Support warranty department Participate in meetings  with customersSupport sales managersMaintain and improve customer relationshipAssist with maintenance planning discussions Willingness to travel to various customer locations upon request including shipyards, onboard service, and travels to other countries for extended lengths of time.Prepare all travel needsPrepare technical reports for both internal and external customersComply with reporting structure and all administration workParticipate in office work as requiredQualifications:Desired SkillsGood communication skills including reporting skills and listening skills Ability to develop leadership qualitiesKnowledge of large bore diesel engine control and automation systemsAbility to use diesel engine diagnostic equipment High Level Understanding of life cycle management of propulsion plant equipment and system including engine performance dynamics, fuel oil, lube oil, cooling water, quality management, environmental compliance issues and all auxiliary systems.Experience with HFO, diesel, gas, duel fuel, & common rail enginesExperience in any large bore 4 stroke and 2 stroke Diesel engines maintenance, troubleshooting, operations and modificationsExperience with maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of turbochargers such as Napier, KBB, MAN, ABBExperience with "Project Management"Good understanding of electrical and automationGood understanding of budgets Good Skills in problem solving and leadership qualitiesAbility to learn negotiation skillsAbility to develop teaching skillsAbility to maintain a positive and motivated environmentMultiple languages is considered a plusEducationAssociate or Bachelor degree in (Marine/Mechanical Engineering or Engine Technology) and/or minimum of 2 years experience in marine operations and/or maintenance operationsExperienceAssistant Engineer License or OEM Service Technician level for at least 2 yearsExcellent Understanding of the service and operations of marine vessels or diesel power plantsBenefits:We are proud to offer our full time employees a benefits package that speaks for itself and sets us apart from our competition.  Benefits options include:Health Insurance (includes Vision Discount)Health Savings AccountLife insuranceElective Insurance Programs (Cancer, Disability, etc.)401KCredit UnionTuition ReimbursementPaid HolidaysShop & Field Service TrainingEqual Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V
