Repair & Maintenance Technician

JOB SCOPE Perform Technician Level I Repair and Maintenance activities according to policies and procedures. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Performs and complies with repair and maintenance policies and procedures as directed. Dismantle and reassemble drilling motors in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with work instructions. Inspect parts/components for wear and necessary repair in accordance with procedures and guidelines. Determine when more detailed inspection is needed. Identify hazards in the shop and bring them to management's attention. Learn and become proficient in applicable work order processes and procedures. Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level. Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Essential Knowledge and experience with hand and power tools. Excellent communications skills, both verbally and written. Basic computer skills. Basic mathematical skills. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Essential Mechanical aptitude. High School Diploma. Preferred Work experience in a mechanical environment. Oil field or mining experience. ANY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Essential Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations. Ability to work overtime (nights and weekends). Ability to be on call 24 hours a day. Valid Driver's License. Calls will not be accepted for this position.
