Details: THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN CHILLICOTHE, OHIO; WILLING TO RELOCATE THE IDEAL CANDIDATE.RoleTo effectively and efficiently lead the strategic direction of the mechanical maintenance groups within the Paper Manufacturing, coating and converting areas. To lead the associated maintenance resources addressing long-term maintenance reliability and improvement requirements of the facility and driving daily results through managing by influence and direct leadership as required.Responsibilities• Provide leadership and technical direction to maximize the availability and productivity of area critical assets (stock preparation, paper machines, sheeting, coating, rewinding, shipping and supporting equipment); • Identify and execute strategic solutions to work standards designed to increase productivity, engineering projects and reliability opportunities. Overall responsibility for maintenance budgets in excess of $25MM;• Determines organizational design, staffing levels and skill requirements necessary to meet current operating needs and develop organizational strength to meet future demands of the business. Provide influence within management, operations, and engineering groups to resolving reliability issues, set specifications and policies. Accountabilities• Assures adherence to all mill environmental / safety standards and also provide resources for improved SH&E policies as necessary and provides deliberate and visible leadership commitment to our safety mission, “Injury Free Every Day”;• Manage resources (internal labor, materials, outside services) to planned budget levels (or below) and relentlessly seek to improve processes and reduce maintenance cost/ton at higher levels of reliability and equipment availability;• Incorporate C/I and lean concepts whenever practical by providing direction and leadership in proactive maintenance processes designed to increase efficiency and productivity;• Provide direct and indirect leadership to salaried supervisors, engineers, planning employees through performance management and labor relations through guidance, coaching and accountability;• Supports the investigation, analysis and implementation of continuous improvement programs for all aspects of equipment maintenance including administrative practices, reliability improvements and efficiency enhancements that capitalize on individual’s strengths in an ever evolving business climate;• Proactively makes recommendations for departmental and mill management decisions that are supported by data analysis, best practice comparisons. Develops and fosters effective relationships with union leaders, individual employees and other departments often supporting and managing through influence;
