Job Responsibilities:Applicants must be able to perform safe acceptance, maintenance and commissioning activities on electrical power systems (generators, transformers, breakers, cables and relay schemes all operating between 480V and 745kV ratings, etc.) to determine that they are safe and operating as designed. A solid understanding of electrical theories, methods, procedures, electrical safe work practices and electrical test equipment is essential. The ability to read and understand one-line, three-line and control schematics is a must. Applicants should have good troubleshooting skills and an overall understanding of power system fundamentals. This position is accountable for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing customer equipment. Instructs customers and sales personnel on the operation and maintenance of equipment. Performs warranty work and start-up service. Performs testing, calibration, checking, correcting, adjusting and part component replacement services on customer products. Constructs and tests circuits and equipment utilizing various tools and machines such as computers, workstations, circuit diagrams and test instruments/equipment. Instructs customers and sales personnel on the operation and customer maintenance of equipment. Provides technical support in product service, product training and applications. Analyzes complex problems in equipment and machinery and interprets maintenance manuals, using knowledge of systems and electronics to isolate and correct the fault. Consults with product support and engineering personnel to determine solutions to complex problems in system operation. Reports customer suggestions on product improvement and existing product designs to the appropriate technical specialist. Assists in the developing design modifications. Implements modifications and provides installation support for the modifications. Develops and implements training courseware and provides training to customers and other service representatives. Develops and maintains ongoing customer relationships with regards to all aspects of equipment repair and maintenance. Maintains service equipment, tools and documentation. Machinery Control Systems Engineer

Details: Job Responsibilities:1.Support US Navy (NSWCCD) accomplishing distance and onsite troubleshooting and repair of LHD8 CL Machinery Control Systems (MCS) hardware (H/W) and software (S/W) issues identified by ship's force personnel.2.Troubleshoot and repair both Versa Module Eurocard (VME) Bus and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) equipped systems and components3.Operationally test, troubleshoot and accomplish repairs down to the circuit board level of various US Navy Shipboard Machinery Control Systems. 4.Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements, analyzes and documents results and/or potential issues.5.Reviews, writes, and provides updates to technical documentation.6.Participates in special projects as required.7.Up to 35% travel Required Education:1.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. 2.2-5 years of related machinery control systems experience. Required Work Experience:1.Must possess shipboard or industrial experience associated with MCS installation, operational testing, troubleshooting and repair. Control Systems Specialist - San Bernardino, CA

Details: The Controls Systems Specialist (CSS) will ensure that Safety comes first in all Facilities efforts. This position will provide proper training to the Facility Technicians on device troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance. This position will also be responsible for troubleshooting, design/implement/document control solutions for material handling systems, act as a liaison for internal and external resources, and be on call as needed. This position requires strong project management skills, effective communication skills, be self directed, and have the ability to multi-task and deliver results in a dynamic environment. The following roles and responsibilities are required for a successful CSS: • Perform Allen Bradley (A&B) PLC control level issue diagnosis using ladder logic and Control View HMI. • Follow change management process and develop ad-hoc PLC ladder code change using Rockwell RSLogix family IDE’s (5000 preferred. • Familiarization with A&B PLC processers (CompactLogix and ControlLogix preferred) and input/output modules. Knowledge of other non-A&B control systems such as OPTO, Crisplant and Buschman BOSS would be a plus. • Use AutoCAD to review, develop and maintain electrical schematic and conveyor layout drawings. • Work with IT, FC Software and Operations Engineering tp develop and update controls knowledge and training document for the facilities team. • Be responsible for incident follow-up, root cause analysis and documentation. • Actively participate in the Control System SharePoint site development and weekly conference calls. Document control system and equipment configuration changes and keep the documentation updated on the SharePoint site. • Actively participate in local or network level control projects and Kaizens. Up to 10% of travel may be required.• A two-year professional electrical training degree • 2+ years of control system working experience in Allen Bradley PLC based controls design, development, implementation and support. • Flexibility with work hours and days. (24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation, including holidays). • Position is required to be on-call, including holidays and weekends. • Experience with email and MS Excel • Experience in Allen Bradley (A&B) PLC control level issue diagnosis using ladder logic and Control View HMI. • 2+ years AutoCAD work experience on control layout design and schemetic. • Up to 10% of regional travel is required. • High school diploma or equivalent• A 4 year BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize different projects and work load. • Proven ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors and vendors. • Self-motivated and customer-centric Amazon is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
