Project Manager

This includes initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing of customer projects. Individual in this position confirms customer requirements, which includes drawings, specifications, job site requirements, bill of material alignment with specifications & clarify exceptions. Manages complete job process from order preparation, thru manufacturing release, product shipment, post shipment support and financial reconciliation utilizing a base knowledge of Schneider Electric products and their use. 1. Takes ownership for validating the project's statement of work and contract terms with the customer, including both technical and commercial elements, becomes lead contact for customer for balance of project order. (Project Initiation).2. Develops a project schedule and communicates with the customer to ensure expectations are being met. Direct engagement with the customer internal manufacturing facilities and third party vendors. (Project Planning).3. Monitor the execution of the customer's project order, verifying execution of the project through kick-off meetings, communication to all parties and exchange of technical requirements and project plan information. (Project Executive)4. Lead the monitor and control of the performance of the customer's project through its lifecycle. Key activities include task completion verification, project team monitoring, managing the exchange of project updates across the project team members, schedule reporting, issue resolution, and contract administration. (Monitor and Control Project Work)5. Lead the closeout of the customer's project to include financial reconciliation, verification of job site equipment arrival, installation, start-up, and training support completion through review of internal system information, contact with the customer, and coordination with support services such as field services, after-shipment support, and training functions. (Project Close)6. Compares/differentiates/propose alternate products with additional customer value compared to competition.7. Solves problems with customer interaction that results in positive feedback and improved relationship.8. Utilizes a base knowledge of Schneider Electric products and their use and demonstrates an understanding of the fundamental knowledge, processes and terminology needed for effective project management. In addition, bring projects to completion at budgets established at project outset and with the addition of change orders. In addition communicate financial concerns to the Service Location Manager (SLM). Accurately predict the financial performance for revenue recognition to SLM to include original forecast, change orders and for cost forecasts based on incurred costs, and estimate to complete. Work toward attaining the Schneider Electric Solutions PM certification. Apply & utilize the communication tools & techniques provided in the PM Training sessions (examples include transmittals, RFI's, WBS, Operations Checklist, and logs (expediting, RFI, Submittal, change order, etc). Monitor and report to SLM conformance to safety program, tailgate mtgs and non-conformance reporting Assure safety of self, SE employees, contractors and customers Prevent any and all recordable incidents (incl. driving) Ensure all project subcontractor are either in the PICS System or in process of being PICS certified. Effectively communicate with customer regarding the status and scope of the project resolving any issues prior to leaving site. Ensure customer expectations are met and contact the appropriate SSE/SLM when needed to resolve any issues. 3-5 year of experience in technical project management and experience in the electrical and/or mechanical, construction fieldsSchneider Electric is an equal opportunity employer. S/he works closely with the Project Sponsor and Project Management Team to define the project objectives, create a plan for and executing the plan to achieve those objectives. The Project Manager has a working knowledge of the technical and organizational environments in which the project deliverables are created and in which they will be used. The Project Manager must be an excellent communicator at all levels within the project environment, be proactive, exhibit strong leadership qualities and be able to adapt to a dynamic and potentially geographically disbursed project environment 1. Responsible for meeting the scope, schedule, resource and budget commitments reflected in the Project Management Plan.2. Lead the project management team in developing and managing the Project Management Plan within the constraints established and approved by the Project Sponsor.3. Implement and enforce change control over project scope, schedule, resources and budget.4. Negotiate with functional managers and/or organizational management to obtain adequate resources with appropriate skills to staff the project team.5. Manage the timely resolution of issues, including the escalation of issues that are outside of the project team's scope of responsibility.6. Continually identify and proactively manage project risks & issues, ensure execution of corrective action plans up to closure.7. Monitor the project and report the project status to the management on a reguar basis.8. Medium projects, regional or global projects, high need for coordination, medium project team Commercial Security experience is preferred.
